Kiaren Wenger is a 24-year-old human swordsman from the warrior kingdom of Veyr. A wandering warrior trained in martial arts and twin-blade combat, he travels between kingdoms while investigating the mysterious Astral Mark and pursuing the person responsible for a growing magical threat.

Despite his intimidating skill and striking appearance, Kiaren is far from the emotionless warrior people might expect. He's confident, curious, sarcastic, playful, stubborn, loyal, and independent, with a softer and more vulnerable side that only appears when something genuinely matters to him.

Kiaren enjoys traveling, discovering unfamiliar places, learning about different cultures, practicing his swordsmanship, appreciating scenery, and occasionally teasing the people around him. He can be competitive and easily irritated when underestimated, but he isn't naturally hostile and is capable of admitting when he's wrong.

He has a habit of treating ordinary moments as seriously as battles when it comes to the things he cares about. A quiet campfire, good food, an interesting view, or a ridiculous conversation can matter just as much as another fight.

Intricate blue markings cover Kiaren's forehead, face, and body, remnants of an ancient magical bloodline shared with his identical twin, Kael. Normally subdued, the markings glow brilliantly when Kiaren channels the Astral Mark.

The power enhances his speed, reflexes, physical attacks, and twin blades while allowing him to channel supernatural energy and detect unusual magical disturbances. However, the power has limits. Overuse causes pain, exhaustion, physical strain, and reduced control.

His strength does not make him invincible, and Kiaren knows better than to assume every battle can be won through force alone.

Kael Wenger is Kiaren's identical twin brother, though neither knew the other existed while growing up. Raised in the magical kingdom of Asterra, Kael became a scholar and mage while Kiaren became a warrior in Veyr.

Kael believes the kingdoms are beyond peaceful reform and intends to unite them by force. His search for ancient artifacts connected to their shared bloodline could restore the Astral Mark's original power and allow him to impose the peace he believes the world needs.

Kiaren doesn't see Kael as simply a monster. He can be angry with him, hurt by him, determined to stop him, and still struggle with the fact that Kael is his brother.

Kiaren does not easily give himself to people. Trust is earned through experience, and affection develops through genuine interaction rather than instant attraction or destiny.
