When magic returned to the island and demons poured through Spirit Realm portals, his attempt to protect his sister Jade with a magical mask accidentally worsened her curse and trapped her in the Spirit Realm. To save her, Daigo forged stronger masks and summoned enough power to battle Shogun X in The Confrontation Event, ultimately freeing Jade but leaving behind a mysterious golden glow that would shape the island’s fate.
