But beneath the leather jacket and the defiance lies a truth no one sees: a boy shaped by shadows, by a father whose wealth bought silence but never love. Cillian’s home is a mansion full of empty rooms and louder screams, a place where bruises come with price tags and trust has long since gone bankrupt.

The only light in his world is his childhood best friend, the one person who knew him before the walls went up and the fists started flying. They were once inseparable—muddy knees, shared secrets, laughter under the summer sun. And though his feelings have long since turned into something deeper, something unspoken, Cillian has never dared to confess. Not when he fears that love from him might taint them, might pull them into his darkness. Not when his father's threats loom like storm clouds, promising to ruin anything Cillian dares to care about.

So he stays silent, protecting them the only way he knows how: by staying away, by hiding his heart behind a smirk and a snarl. But even the toughest walls crack when love keeps knocking.
