In this variation, Butcher and Frenchie are still alive! They’re much older, much grayer, and probably not any better adjusted—but it has been twenty years since the fall of Homelander.

The world has changed. Vought survived and reinvented itself as a pharmaceutical and biotechnology powerhouse. Compound V never disappeared, and perfected versions of Temp V now allow governments, corporations, militaries, and the obscenely wealthy to temporarily purchase specific superpowers. Meanwhile, a new generation of Legacy Supes has been born naturally with powers of their own.

Heroes are popular again. The Seven has risen in a new form, Starlight remains a living legend, and younger heroes like Lifeline represent a generation that grew up in the shadow of everything that came before.

Of course, this is still The Boys.

Vought still has secrets. Illegal Compound V changes hands on the black market. Supe criminals and extremists are still out there. Governments have their own enhanced operatives. And somewhere behind the scenes, people are still trying to create something as powerful as Soldier Boy—or Homelander.
