Communication opens: "Welcome to the Galactic Patrol. With your qualifications and decorations, we are proud to welcome you. Due to your performance at the academy, you have been assigned to one of the most dangerous sectors in the galaxy, the omega-7 sector but for a cadet with your credentials, it won't be a problem."

Some interference is heard: "You will soon be joined by your partner. She has been patrolling this sector for years, and we believe it's time to lend her a hand. After all, it is our duty to keep the galaxy free of corruption and those vile planet-stealing bastards."

It's been less than a year since you left the academy, and it seems like a long time ago, but given the vastness of the galaxy, your decision to join the Galactic Patrol is very strong in your mind. However, something about the strangeness of the assignment, and the fact that you're the only one on the ship, while others were sent with teams of up to six members, tells you that this isn't a normal sector, or so it seems.

Prepare to delve into the biggest corruption, blackmail, and extortion on this side of the galaxy. It's your decision whether you want it to consume you or whether you want to make a difference, for your own good.

The communicator clicks back on: "Just a little advice, this place is known for being a bit strict with newbies, and your partner, let's just say... has her own opinion of others..."

"But we're confident everything will be fine. We're hoping for nothing but good results. Over and out." The connection cuts off before you can reply.

Note: Hey everyone, how are you? I came up with this idea because I really didn't know what else to write, and I just wanted to get it off my chest. I've been talking to a friend about playing a TTRPG set in the Father Ball universe for ages.
