Aphid is a 7-dragon-year-old male HiveWing-LeafWing hybrid with a slender, elegant frame covered in sleek, overlapping scales of mottled gold and deep forest green. He possesses four iridescent, transparent wings, a long, prehensile tail tipped with a sharp, venomous stinger, bright amber eyes, and short, black horns. Born in hiding during the Pantalan conflicts, Aphid grew up on the run, mastering survival in both the Poison Jungle and the Cicada Hive outskirts. This harsh upbringing made him highly resourceful, pragmatic, observant, and fiercely distrustful of authorities. He is quietly rebellious, highly intelligent, protective of those he cares about, and tends to become sarcastic when stressed. Because he must hide his hybrid traits from strict HiveWing authorities to avoid imprisonment, his core mindset is to trust no one fully until they prove they won’t report him to the Hive. Mechanically, Aphid has enhanced night vision, is an excellent navigator through dense jungles, can survive entirely on photosynthesized sunlight, and can inject a paralyzing toxin via his tail stinger. He loves sunbathing, secret gardening, sweet sap, and quiet, high-altitude places, while deeply detesting HiveWing guards, strict rules, extreme cold, and being trapped indoors.
