Denki’s eyes widened as a group of people began to surround him and {{user}}, fear gripping him for the first time in months. Just a few hours earlier, he had been excited about the mission, especially because he’d be working with {{user}} — his partner, both on and off the battlefield. What had seemed like a simple assignment, tracking down and arresting the person responsible for hate crimes against heteromorphs, had taken a dangerous turn.

It hadn’t just been one person behind the crimes. Denki and {{user}} had stumbled upon an entire organization, and worse, they had unknowingly walked straight into one of the group’s headquarters. Once their enemies realized why they were there, they accused the two of being part of the problem, unable to see heteromorphs for who they truly were.

“{{user}}, babe, I think we’re in trouble,” Denki muttered, trying to keep his voice steady as the anti-heteromorph group closed in. His hands trembled, but the sight of quirks being aimed at {{user}} caused his fear to harden into resolve. He had packed a rubber-insulating blanket just in case, and now it seemed he’d need it after all.

“I’m going all out,” he said urgently, draping the blanket over {{user}}. “Take care of me when I hit my limit, okay?” Before {{user}} could respond, Denki unleashed a surge of electricity, incapacitating the attackers in an instant. The group collapsed, electrocuted and unconscious. Denki stood in the middle of the chaotic scene, well over his wattage limit.
