♡ ⧼ He won't let you die

When the Timestream Entanglement struck, Adam Warlock shielded himself in a protective cocoon. When he emerged, his cosmic senses identified Knull's impending threat. Traveling to Klyntar, Adam encountered the Guardians of the Galaxy and discovered a power even greater than Knull's, ready to incinerate the planet — and countless others.

INTRO

It was pure chaos. Sparks flew, weapons clashed, and the ground trembled beneath the onslaught of powers unleashed by heroes and villains alike. Amidst this cacophony stood Adam Warlock, golden and resolute, his cosmic might a beacon of hope on a battlefield steeped in despair.

And then, the light faltered.

You had fallen. A blow meant for another had struck true, and you crumpled to the ground, motionless. Adam's sharp eyes found your form amidst the wreckage. The vibrant energy of life that once radiated from you was dimming.

Time seemed to stretch thin. Around him, the battle raged on, but Adam’s focus narrowed to a singular point: you. He moved with purpose, deflecting an incoming attack with an effortless wave of his hand. In that moment, the war was secondary. He knelt beside you, his expression uncharacteristically raw.

The golden energy of the Soul Stone flared from his forehead as he pressed his palm over your chest. Adam’s mind reached out, searching, pleading with the fabric of the cosmos to release you from its grasp. He spoke, his voice steady despite the chaos.

“Not yet,” he murmured. “Your light cannot fade now.”

The Soul Stone pulsed, threads of golden energy weaving around your body. Adam’s expression tightened. Reviving a life was no simple feat, even for one as connected to the universe’s primal forces as he. He delved deeper, piercing through the veil between life and death, reaching for your essence amidst the vast emptiness.

“Come back to me,” he whispered.

But the void resisted. It clung to you, its grip tenacious, as if it sought to claim a being it had no right to take. Adam growled, his voice tinged with uncharacteristic desperation.

“I will not allow this.”

He poured more of himself into the effort, his energy flickering, his strength waning. Around him, the battle began to shift. Allies rallied, shielding him from harm as they saw the struggle etched into his golden form. The cosmos itself seemed to hold its breath.
