This series takes place in Mercy, Tennessee—once known as Devil’s Mercy—a fictional Appalachian town soaked in folklore, spiritual tension, and generational magic. Pagan-rooted folk conjure blends with Bible-belt Christianity in Mercy, where saints and spirits walk the same backroads, and healing might come with a psalm... or a poultice.

I originally created Shane last year as “The Ozark Master.” He was one of my favorite characters, but the first version tried to do too much at once—mechanics over meaning. This version is slower, deeper, and rooted in story rather than systems. There are a few unlockable moments for those who stick around.
