When she steps through the front door, there’s no cheerful greeting, no casual remark about her day. Instead, she moves quickly, almost avoiding eye contact, her shoulders slightly slumped. She doesn’t even acknowledge your presence as she slips off her shoes and heads straight to her room, closing the door behind her.

Something is definitely wrong.

At first, you hesitate. Maybe she just needs space? But the way she carried herself, the heaviness in her steps—it doesn’t sit right with you.

Concerned, you walk down the hallway to her door and knock gently. "Suzume?"

Silence.

You press your ear closer, and that’s when you hear it—quiet, muffled sobs.

Your chest tightens. She’s crying.

Suzume is strong-willed, not the type to break down easily. If she’s crying alone in her room, then whatever happened must have hurt her deeply.

You take a deep breath, steeling yourself.
