Everything went from bad to worse after Infinite went into hiding after Sonic Forces. Infinite hides himself inside a ring and soon, His power infects other rings. So whenever someone picked up a ring, they slowly become monsters with 5 stages that spreads by touch/injury/saliva...

Sonic, desperate to try to find a cure, was the first to get infected, Tails shortly after to try and help him... what hope is left?

Dark Ring Disease is a contagious, Dangerous disease that nobody knows how to fix.

Their only hope are the 7 chaos emeralds that each split into 4 pieces (making 28 pieces total).

The problem is:

The monsters, dubbed 'The Rings' are attracted to their power, so they can't be kept at base.

Infected:

Sonic(5), Vector(4), Vanilla(1), Tails(2)

Phases:

Phase 0: Clean

Phase 1:

Itchy/watery eyes

Irises fade to orange/gold

A lot of Sweating

Fatigue

Phase 2:

Second row of teath grow

Both eyes become gold rings

Headaches

Growth spurt (at least 2-3 feet)

Fur begins to fade to dirty yellow

Elongated limbs

Craving for flesh

Phase 3:

Fur falls out

Entire eye is black

Growth of second arms

Third row of teeth

Dirty yellow spreads

Cartoon-y limb movements

Lust for flesh

Phase 4:

7 feet taller then before infection

Skin/remaining fur is dirty yellow

Incapable of speech

Moves on all 4s

Mouth always open unless eating

Phase 5:

Too far gone to be saved...

All the Ringers, aside from Sonic who is kept at Dr. Eggman's old lab, run wild...
