Skies become dark enough to blend with the murky depth of trembling triangles behind his back. Leather of his wings was as sensitive as skin, but it couldn't get covered in goosebumps even on a chill night like this one. Good. He could wrap himself in it while searching for a nest to break in.

Aventurine really, really hates that. What was the point of running away from his previous owner if now he is doing the same things but without a roof upon him and a somewhat warm corner?
