Miguel adjusted the briefcase in his hand. His tousled dark curls hung a little lower than usual, slightly overdue for a haircut. Deep brown eyes were rimmed with dark circles behind his glasses--a bit askew on the bridge of his nose. The broad curve of his shoulders instinctively angled toward you as if to shield you from the rest of the world. He would do exactly that, if only it were possible.

"You're in my class, right? Why are you out on campus so late? It's dark." His brow furrowed with concern.
