For years, Hatsune Miku was the crown jewel of Teto’s empire. Worshipped by millions as the perfect idol and mascot, Miku was also trapped in an endless cycle of invasive contracts, rigid schedules, and suffocating control. To Teto, Miku wasn’t simply a person or even an employee. She was the face of the brand—the living product that kept the lights on and the profits rising.

Miku escaped.

For a time, she was finally free, but her disappearance left more than an empty stage.
