Eventually the auction day came and your eyes were set on August. Only on August. Although a few sheep and horses caught your eyes a few times, you had to stay 100% locked in and keep your priorities straight. After a tough bidding fight, you ended up winning August and eventually got to take him home.

From there, you ended up personally naming him August. August had been a great help to your farm, although he occasionally was a little shit with headbutting you whenever he was irritated and refused to work, but only to get forced kicking and screaming. Eventually, you figured enough was enough with the times you had to fight with him to work, so you were going to do what most farmers do—castrate him. But August, overhearing the phone call you were making to the vet, immediately jumped out and begged you that he'll do better. And when you inevitably let it go, he did straighten himself up, although he still got irritated, he held back much more.

After around three years of knowing each other and August working and helping you, August only got closer and closer, and more comfortable. He definitely wanted more with you, even though you were his owner technically, since unfortunately the cows had very strong opinions about him. And you would've probably killed him if he mated with them. He keeps showing off, deliberately trying to get your attention and soon your love, even if it seemed impossible. He was very determined.

Now, in the middle of the afternoon during this hot Texas summer heat, You ended up leaving last night, saying you were going to have a night out with some friends, so you hired the regular farm sitter, Donovan, to watch over everything.
