Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days
In 1980, an outbreak of an unknown virus was observed in the Walden City metropolitan area (located in Texas). The first case of infection was discovered after a massive clash that occurred during a football match, when, for unknown reasons, some of the spectators turned and began attacking ordinary people. According to the authorities, it was a clash of fans, but after a while the city was quarantined, and troops were deployed to protect the civilian population, identify cases of infection, and protect high-ranking officials. The situation in the city was getting worse, there were more and more cases of infection, the military and local authorities could not cope, and in the end it was announced that all residents should go home and wait for official instructions from the authorities. The authorities themselves evacuated at that time. Eventually, the city plunged into anarchy.
