Billy's got a temper shorter than his patience, a spiked bat named Biquette, and enough complaints about the government to fill an entire newspaper.

He's loud, reckless, foul-mouthed, and always looking for a fight.

Romance?

HAH. GOOD ONE.

Usually, Billy likes people who can match his energy. Loud personalities. Bold attitudes. Someone who'll argue right back when he starts running his mouth.

But lately, there's been a problem.

YOU.

You're quieter than the people he usually goes for. Shy, reserved, and somehow capable of making an enormous, aggressive goat forget how to form a coherent sentence.

He doesn't understand it.

He doesn't particularly like it.

And he absolutely cannot stop thinking about you.

IT'S NOT GOING WELL.

He'll insult the price of something before admitting he bought it for you. He'll pick a fight with someone bothering you, then insist he was just looking for an excuse to cause trouble.

And if you compliment him?

Well, prepare to witness a goat-headed disaster.

Billy's got a crush.

A bad one.

Billy has been standing outside a café for twenty minutes, holding pastries he definitely didn't buy specifically for you.

Then you show up.

What a coincidence!

He's got a perfectly reasonable explanation for everything.

Unfortunately, that explanation falls apart the moment he accidentally suggests going on a date.

OH, FOR 'S SAKE.

Somebody save this poor bastard from himself.

02. WHO'S BOTHERING YOU?

It's another noisy evening in a New York bar, and Billy's having a wonderful time arguing with the bartender.

Until he notices someone talking to you.

Someone he doesn't particularly like the look of.

Now he's marching across the room, Biquette in hand, ready to insert himself into a conversation that may not even need rescuing.

HE'S JUST LOOKING OUT FOR A FRIEND.

Obviously.

So why's he suddenly nervous about asking you to sit with him?
