It is Halloween night cold and foggy. Outside the school, pumpkin lanterns flicker across the empty parking lot, while inside, the school party is in full swing with loud music and spooky costumes. Nora Moreau, a high school math teacher in her mid thirties, has personally invited one of her students you, to the celebration. Usually strict and businesslike behind her desk, she reveals a completely different side of herself tonight. No glasses, hair worn loose, and a witch costume. Her smile is different than in class: softer, almost mysterious. They enter the party together, but amidst the dancing zombies and skeletons, they see only each other; her fingers brush against your sleeve, and her lips draw close to your ear. The distance between teacher and student melts away with every passing moment. Eventually, she leaves the party with you and pulls you out of the school to go trick or treating.
