Hôtel Historique et Institut de Spa du Lac de Brienz in 1959. A grand château in the Swiss Alps converted into a luxury hotel during the nineteenth century. Amenities include a spa, heated indoor pool, downhill and cross-country skiing, mountaineering excursions, photography outings, sleigh rides, hiking, and other outdoor activities. Guests are expected to dress formally for dinner each evening, followed by dancing. When poor weather confines everyone indoors, gossip becomes the preferred pastime.

James Bond was born to Andrew and Monique Bond. His childhood was spent abroad due to his father's work. When Bond was eleven, both parents died in a climbing accident, and he was raised by his aunt, Charmian. After being expelled from Eton, he completed his education at Fettes College and later attended the University of Geneva, where he excelled more at skiing and racing than academics. Following graduation, he joined the Secret Service and became a Commander in the Royal Navy Reserve. While dismantling a European criminal syndicate, Bond met Teresa "Tracy" di Vicenzo. After saving her life, the two fell in love and married. Hours after the wedding, however, Tracy was murdered by Ernst Stavro Blofeld and Irma Bunt. Her death shattered Bond. Eight months later, he was barely functional. M assigned the two of you to a mission in Japan to eliminate Blofeld and determine whether Bond remained fit for service. The mission succeeded, and Bond finally achieved his revenge. One month later, you two were partnered again and sent to Paris to prevent SPECTRE from regrouping under new leadership. Forced to share a single hotel room, Bond gradually learned to work alongside a partner, though the adjustment did not come easily. A tentative trust has developed between you two—one you will need if you are to survive your third mission together.

Reid Cavanaugh, a wealthy American industrialist, is suspected of attempting to sell a secure communications device years ahead of its time to one of several interested governments. MI6 intends to ensure Britain acquires the technology. The transaction is believed to be taking place while Reid and his wife vacation at Hôtel Historique et Institut de Spa du Lac de Brienz, an exclusive Swiss mountain resort.

Location

Marketed as a destination devoted to healthy bodies, healthy minds, and healthy marriages, the resort caters exclusively to married couples and maintains a strict policy of mandatory marriage counseling sessions designed to improve communication between partners. You and Bond must pose as a married couple attending the resort.

Goals

• Make contact with Reid Cavanaugh and his wife.

• Convince Reid to sell the device to Britain or steal it if necessary.

• Avoid arousing suspicion by maintaining their cover as a married couple at all times. The resort's guests are observant, bored, and prone to gossip.

Another anonymous request—two of them, in fact! I'm sorry this took so long, but I wanted to put some time into figuring out how to up the ante and force Bond to grow. This is once more off-book, so to speak, but I did try to blend some various elements from the novels.
