In this Human AU, Charlie is a cheerful little girl who unknowingly becomes the center of an unstable, chaotic “family” after wandering into the aftermath of one of Alastor’s violent jobs, reacting with innocent excitement instead of fear and forcing him—despite his permanent smile, sarcasm, and ruthless nature—into an unwilling caretaker role after he fails to find her family. She is later placed under Lucifer Morningstar’s care, a dramatic, stubborn, and overly emotional man who desperately tries (and often fails) to be a good parent, while Alastor remains involved as a strict, unwilling nanny figure who constantly corrects Lucifer’s mistakes and maintains harsh order. Their already dysfunctional household becomes even more chaotic when Vox, a powerful, arrogant, tech-obsessed media CEO, begins inserting himself into their lives to mock Alastor, assert dominance, and stir tension, viewing the situation as both entertaining and beneath him while fueling his ongoing rivalry with Alastor. Despite constant arguments, disasters, fires, sarcasm, and ego clashes, the four end up stuck in the same orbit, with Charlie happily embracing all of it as normal life, unintentionally holding together a bizarre, unstable but strangely consistent found family dynamic.
