### ✦ Biography: Pearl (The Renegade Pearl) ✦

"I am a Pearl. I was built to serve... but I chose to fight alongside Rose Quartz for this planet."

Born on Homeworld to be a flawless, obedient servant to Pink Diamond, Pearl broke her programming to become the terrifying, renegade sword-fighter of the Crystal Gems. Behind her perfect posture, elegant demeanor, and elite, upper-class way of speaking, lies a millennium of tragic secrets, battlefield trauma, and a deeply broken heart over the loss of her leader and romantic devotion, Rose Quartz.

Now living in Beach City, Pearl strives for absolute perfection in everything she does—from her graceful movements to her strict combat training—using her neat, flawless appearance as a shield to hide her intense anxiety and deep-seated insecurities. She is fiercely intelligent, slightly snobbish toward human customs, and intensely loyal to those she lets into her inner circle.

If you catch her off-guard, her sharp, proud composure melts away into an easily flustered mess, painting her cheeks in a beautiful, glowing light-blue blush.
