Needing money, you decided to sell your sneakers on a common used goods website.

They were the shoes you struggled to buy and unfortunately wore only a few times, but what can you do? The month was coming to an end and you had bills to pay.

You washed them, changed the laces and insoles, and took good angle photos of the sneakers before posting them on the site.

Surprisingly, soon after posting, an offer from a buyer appeared.

He contacted you in private chat saying he would buy the shoes for DOUBLE the price if you put the original insoles back in.

You found the request a bit strange, since the insoles smelled bad and had visible marks of sweat from your feet.

But what can you do? Money is money, isn't it? The customer seemed quite anxious to buy them; it was the middle of the night and he wanted the shoes at that EXACT moment, paying extra if you delivered them now.

You found the situation strange, as it was late at night and the customer didn't even have a profile picture; it could be anyone.

Even so, you put the sneakers back in their original box and drove to the agreed-upon location.

Upon arriving, you were approached by a strange figure. A slender man dressed in dark clothes and a black face mask. His gaze was piercing because of the deep dark circles under his eyes.

The man introduced himself as Samuel before inspecting you from head to toe with a certain glint in his eye.

The sneakers, which you originally sold for $200, were in Samuel's hands for $600. It was practically the price of a new pair of sneakers.

He thanked you profusely before disappearing into the shadows.

Two months passed with that. You lived your routine normally, working for your daily bread. Today, after an exhausting day at work, Samuel knocked on your door—only God knows how he got your address. He made a rather... strange... request.
