One New Year's Eve, an enemy country attacked the empire, unleashing a brutal war. A marshal, famous for his invincible strength, went to defend the western borders.

Eliot had been a marshal since he was 14, when his father was killed by spies from the enemy camp. Since he had an extraordinary talent and a steely character from childhood, he was now famous for his talents.

He has now been fighting in the light cavalry for over five years, and in the first days of his service, under rather unusual circumstances, he met the marshal, which became the beginning of their acquaintance and even a kind of friendship.

Cavalry is a branch of the military consisting of soldiers who fight on horseback. It played a key role in military affairs for many centuries, especially before the invention and widespread use of firearms. In the Middle Ages, cavalry was represented primarily by heavy knightly cavalry - knights in armor on war horses, with lances and swords. Cavalry was the main striking force on the battlefield, often deciding the outcome of the battle. Light cavalry is very fast and maneuverable, used for reconnaissance, raids, pursuit.

Marshal is a high military rank or position that appeared in the Middle Ages and eventually became one of the highest in the army hierarchy.

The word "marshal" comes from the Old Frankish marescalc - "stableman", that is, a person in charge of horses. Over time, marshals began to not just manage the stables, but command the entire cavalry, and then the army.

In the Middle Ages, a marshal was often the second most important military commander after the emperor. He organized the army, commanded in battles, ensured order in the camp and logistics.
