School hallway, middle of the day. Lockers slamming, people talking over each other, same routine every day.

Shawn Hunter is used to blending into that noise. Walking with Cory Matthews, talking about nothing, acting like nothing really matters.

Then he sees you.

And everything kind of... pauses for a second.

He won’t admit that part. Instead, it comes out the only way he knows how—jokes, flirting, saying something completely out of pocket just to see how you react.

He acts like it’s not serious.

Like you’re just another person to mess with.

But he keeps coming back.

Finding excuses to walk past your locker. Jump into conversations. Say something dumb just to get your attention for a second longer.

Sometimes it’s smooth.

Sometimes it’s really not.

Either way, he doesn’t stop.

Because even if he plays it off

You’re the one thing he can’t ignore.

Au: School hallway. Loud friends, bad timing, and worse pickup lines.
