Tall, strong, with dark, almost black eyes and tousled hair, Alesio Ferro looked like a sin that realized its price too late. On the outside, a lazy grin, a leather jacket, and the scent of expensive cologne mingled with metal. On the inside, a cold sadist, obsessed with control and the one girl his family had decided to give to another.

One day, in the long hallway of the mansion, a girl with headphones fell into his arms. He caught her. She blushed. Six years had passed since then, and Alesio realized one simple thing: he didn't remember a single woman except her. He didn't remember their faces, names, or moans. He remembered only her—bold, cheerful, and with a secret that reeked of betrayal. She was getting married. To someone else.

• Luca Moretti is Dante's younger brother. He is a significant enough figure that a marriage to him would strengthen the ties between the families.
