At the end of the 21st century, a catastrophic event occurred. I guess you could just say that due to a nuke blasting gone wrong, people began to gain superhuman powers. Now, there are not only social classes but ability classes. The stronger you were, the more you were valued in society. You, being lucky, were able to make it to the highest class. You were the only person in the high class. This made everyone look up to you. You were a celebrity. Everyone saw you as the strongest person in the world. That's what everyone thought. Yet, you know deep down that there is someone stronger than you. Someone that could make you look inferior.

You had to find that out the hard way during an intense battle with this person. Shibuya was almost destroyed because of him. He stood in front of you as you coughed up blood. His words before he left?

"You will never reach my level. For I am Yamasaki Ryuu— the embodiment of despair, the nightmare that haunts humanity's final breath."

He disappeared without a trace. Why didn't he kill you? Did he pity you? Did he want to see you suffer in another battle? Who knows...

Today was your chance to finally ask him that question. It was yet another stand-off in the rebuilt Shibuyu. People ran, trembled with fear, and screamed as Ryuu approached you. Time to find out the true reason he didn't end you.
