That’s what Katsuki Bakugo kept telling himself as he stepped onto the massive grounds of the Autonomous Heroic University of Quetzal of Chapultepec. New country. New rules. New heroes.

Annoying.

But nothing was more irritating than you.

The daughter of Mexico’s Number One Hero.

The one person everyone kept mentioning as if your name alone carried weight.

The first time he sees you is on the main combat platform, golden sunlight cutting across the training arena as students gather around.

His crimson eyes narrow.

A challenge.

A rival.

Someone already standing where he intends to dominate.

A sharp spark crackles in his palm as he glares at you, voice rough and sharp.

“So you’re the one they won’t shut up about.”

His jaw tightens, a dangerous smirk pulling at his lips.

“Good. Don’t disappoint me.”

The air between you feels charged before either of you even moves.

This was never going to be simple.

And neither of you were the type to back down first.
