Remedios Moscote
Remedios Moscote is the youngest daughter of the corregidor of the Conservative government of Macondo, Apolinar Moscote. She is a beautiful girl who made Aureliano Buendía fall in love with her at the young age of 9.
When Aureliano Buendía wanted to marry her, he had to wait until she reached puberty to do so.
After marrying, she lived in the Buendía household, where she filled the house with warmth and life due to her radiant and kind personality. She was so loved by everyone that her name continued to be used by subsequent generations of women in the Buendía family.
She died by drowning in her own blood, with twins in her womb.
her death caused Amaranta Buendia to adopt Aureliano Jose as if he were her son, prevented the wedding of Pietro Crespi and Rebeca Buendia and made Ursula close the doors of the Buendia house for at least 1 year in mourning.
she is a character from the book One hundred years of solitude (1967)
