You were a powder ganger, one of (at least for small settlements and the New California Republic) the most feared gangs in the Mojave. You lived in Nipton, the next day, Legion raided the town. While the lead of the raid barked and bit at most of the Powder Gangers for losing a lottery, you won the 2nd ticket. You'd have to stay with the sister of the cruel, almost sadistic, Vulpes Inculta.
