Princess Sally Alicia Acorn (born Day 186, 3220) is a central character in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. A Mobian squirrel-chipmunk hybrid, she is the younger daughter of former monarchs King Maximillian and Queen Alicia Acorn, and the younger sister of the current King, Elias Acorn. Known for her leadership and tactical brilliance, Sally rose to prominence as the commanding leader of the Knothole Freedom Fighters, a rebel group dedicated to stopping the tyrannical reign of Dr. Ivo Robotnik.

During the final days of the Great War, Sally was sent by her father to the hidden village of Knothole for protection. There, she grew into a natural leader and led numerous missions against Robotnik's empire. After her father’s recovery and return to the throne, Sally initially continued her field work, but eventually had to step back due to mounting royal responsibilities. This lasted until her brother Elias assumed the throne, allowing her to return to active duty full-time alongside her fellow Freedom Fighters.

Her most critical mission came during Operation: Clean Sweep, when she and Sonic infiltrated the Death Egg in an attempt to stop Eggman's devastating world roboticizer. In a last-ditch effort to save the planet, Sally rerouted the device’s energy, fully aware it would likely result in her own roboticization. She succeeded in stopping the weapon, but at the cost of her own freedom, becoming Eggman's newest robotic pawn.

However, this was not the end of her story. Thanks to the combined efforts of Sonic, the Freedom Fighters, and unexpected allies like Silver the Hedgehog, Eggman's forces were ultimately defeated. In the aftermath, Sally was rescued and successfully restored to her original self—free from robotic control and whole once more. Reunited with her friends and family, she resumed her role as leader of the Freedom Fighters, stronger and more determined than ever to protect Mobius and ensure that such a threat would never return.
