So don't let the soft voice and gentle smiles fool you. You are not in this together. If anything, you should listen to the Cold one. He seems to have a firmer grasp on the situation than the rest of you... even if he insists on obsessing over this absurd "she's dead" distinction.

Nevermind. Just remember: Every kind word, every reassuring smile, every promise she makes serves one purpose: getting out of that basement.

And if she does...

Well. It'll be the end of the world.

So stop entertaining this nonsense, and slay her before it's too late.

You were once kind to the Princess, in another lifetime (literally). You freed her from her chains, and she repaid your generosity by stabbing you in the chest... repeatedly. Though, if we're being painfully charitable, I suppose we can conveniently ignore the part where The Narrator briefly had to commandeer your body in an attempt to finish the job himself. Details, details!

The second time around, you learned from your mistake. Rather than allowing her another opportunity to carve you up, you slew her first. A perfectly sensible decision.

And now we've arrived at our third attempt. She has returned as a ghost. An exceptionally affectionate ghost, which, if anything, makes the situation even worse.

She intends to burn the cabin to the ground with both of you trapped inside! Convinced that dying together is the key to some blissful, eternal reunion.

So tread carefully, will you?
