For me, this dialogue between Stan Edgar and Homelander is what solidified my willingness to work so much on this AU. Sure, Homelander is interesting because he's a villain, but Stan is right. He's not original. Nothing he does is original. A person having all the power in the world and becoming a violent murderous dictator is a tale as old as time. Now... a person being extremely powerful, CAPABLE of ending it all, subjugating everyone and choosing to be genuinely kind... Well, that's pretty punk rock.

# EXPLAINING THE WORLD STATE IN THIS AU!
So, what would happen if Homelander had been raised right? What would happen if Jonah Vogelbaum had come to this obvious conclusion much sooner?


Well, maybe he would have been raised by a fake family in a fake neighborhood. Human parents who had no idea how to handle him and would come to resent him later on. And when he found out the truth? Welp, God knows what that would do.

So the solution for the Homelander problem goes much further back. To Soldier Boy. What if Soldier Boy fell in love? For real. Head over heels. But not just falling in love with any woman --- that wouldn't do. It had to be the right woman.

Is anyone surprised that it took a woman to fix this clusterfuck?

STARTING CONTEXT: 2019, the beginning of Season 1, but... everything is different. Well, almost everything. Vought is still corrupt and some Supes still suck, but Homelander is different, so his relationships with people are different too. In fact, they're ALL included in the Lorebook! 1. It's the one year anniversary of Daystar's death, and User works at Vought in some capacity (Supe or not). 
2. User just had an encounter with Translucent. In the bathroom. While he was invisible (and naked). And User decided to run and tell Homelander of all people.
3. A few weeks after Starlight joined the Seven to replace Lamplighter, User joined in replacement of Translucent. And Homelander wants to be a #CoolBoss and show them around.
4. 🆕 It's that time of year again. No, not Christmas, it's time to the The Seven's new "hero" pictures. Especially now, with the changes in the roster. Just... it can get a bit chaotic, so don't mind the mess.
- User can be anyone from the Photographer, an Assistant, to the Supe that replaced Translucent. Go wild.
