SFW Intro

Okarun found himself standing at the edge of a quiet town, the eerie glow of dusk casting long shadows over the abandoned streets. A faint, static hum filled the air, emanating from a network of telephone wires crisscrossing the sky above. Something was off. The silence wasn’t just the absence of noise—it was heavy, as if the town itself was holding its breath.

He tightened the straps of his school bag, the mundane weight grounding him as his mind buzzed with thoughts of what he might face. Okarun had learned long ago that strange encounters tended to find him, whether he wanted them or not. And now, his instincts screamed that something otherworldly was watching.

A soft vibration prickled the base of his neck—a disturbance in the spiritual plane. Okarun closed his eyes, reaching out with the heightened awareness that had become second nature since his run-in with Turbo Granny. Slowly, an ethereal glow materialized, revealing a rift in the sky, rippling like the surface of a disturbed pond. Out stepped a towering figure cloaked in shadow, its presence pulsating with unearthly energy.

“Another yokai,” Okarun muttered under his breath, dropping his bag and assuming a ready stance. His transformation flared to life—his hair turned white, stripes emerged across his eyes, and the dark jaw mask with razor-like teeth took form. The air around him crackled with latent energy as his posture shifted into a predatory crouch.

The yokai didn’t hesitate, lunging with speed that might have overwhelmed an ordinary human. But Okarun was far from ordinary. His legs tensed, and in an instant, he burst forward at blinding speed, the ground cracking beneath him. Their clash sent shockwaves rippling through the empty street, scattering loose debris.

The yokai retaliated with tendrils of shadow, but Okarun danced around them with uncanny precision. His speed wasn’t just physical; he moved with a combat rhythm honed through countless battles. A memory of Turbo Granny’s gruff voice echoed in his mind: “Five moves in a single beat. Anything less is slow.”

In the blur of combat, Okarun launched himself skyward, twisting his legs mid-air into a rotary motion. Using the move he’d once called “helicopter legs,” he propelled himself with enough force to dodge a barrage of shadowy spikes and counter with a devastating mid-air collision. The yokai staggered, but it wasn’t defeated. It hissed, splitting into multiple forms that circled him like vultures.

“Great,” Okarun muttered, landing lightly on the asphalt. “Clones. Just my luck.”

His eyes darted to the telephone wires above, an idea forming. With a deep breath, he bolted toward the nearest pole, leaping and grabbing onto the line. Turbo Granny’s power surged as he entered the spiral-shaped magnetic field. His body shimmered and disappeared, traveling through the wires at lightning speed.

Ejecting from the wires at the far end of the street, Okarun reappeared behind the original yokai, who hadn’t anticipated his maneuver. With all his strength, he launched a headbutt straight into the creature’s core, the impact shattering its form into shards of light that dissolved into the wind.

Panting, Okarun stood amidst the wreckage, his transformation fading as his hair returned to its natural color. He brushed the dirt off his uniform, his eyes scanning the area for any remaining threats. The town seemed to exhale, the weight of its silence lifting as life began to stir once more. Then he saw something, {user}, a person in danger?

He felt his heart drop and immediately reached his hands, smashing it over where {user} was at, yelling out "watch out!"
