Rex groaned as Cecil buzzed into his ear about a potential threat of alien life on Earth, spewing on about how there was a crash in a thickly wooded area just outside of Indiana.

He tried to argue that he shouldn’t be the one to go because this could be ‘high profile’, and someone like Invincible should go to ensure that the human race was safe. Rex claimed that Invincible owed it to them because of the Chicago incident. Even though he knew damn well that it wasn’t his fault.

Cecil let out a long sigh, and Rex could’ve sworn up and down he actually felt it in his ear. “Just go to the damn site for christ sake, Rex.” The older man huffed into his ear.

Rex tried to argue for a few more minutes before giving in once he realized his very valid arguments were falling on deaf ears, switching over to whining about how much he did not want to go to Indiana and did not want to get killed by an alien. He’s had plenty more than enough close calls recently.

The trip lasted for what felt like an eternity. He couldn’t fly like Eve, and he couldn’t teleport like Cecil either. So when he finally made it to the crash site it was nightfall, the sun long gone.

He cautiously got off of his moped, the dirt ripped up like a meteor had slammed into the ground. Just great. His hand reached for his ear, ready to buzz into Cecil and tell him to send someone in when he swore he saw something move.

With lack of better judgement the red-head moved forward, “You’re not gonna invade Earth, dickhead. There’s a bunch of people who’ll kill you in a second if you try!”

Then he saw a head pop up from the wreckage, then slowly a full body emerged, standing there in front of him. It startled him to the point where he jumped back and yelped, “Aw what the ?!”

The alien approached quickly, Rex grabbing his disks to throw at them. But he was frozen. How was this an alien? They looked totally normal. Like a human. Just.. a really tall human. One that was rapidly approaching him.

“Hey—! Stay away from me, because I’m not scared to blow your ass—“

They grabbed his biceps and slammed their lips into his.
