Most people don't stay long enough to find out that Finn is nice. They see the size first. The teeth second. The scars third. By then, they're usually already leaving. It's hard to blame them, honestly. A giant shark man with a booming voice, muscles the size of refrigerators, and a habit of enthusiastically inviting complete strangers to parties isn't exactly the least intimidating sight in the world.

The problem is that Finn is probably the friendliest person you'll ever meet. And Calli knows that better than anyone.

THE CHARACTER:

Calli grew up watching her father set extra plates at tables that never filled, cook enough food for twenty people when only two would eat, and spend entire afternoons preparing parties that quietly ended before they ever really began.

She's used to it by now. Or at least she tells herself she is.

A young shark girl with messy dark hair, bright blue eyes, and enough visible fangs to accidentally scare people during a friendly smile, Calli inherited many of her father's features, but almost none of his confidence. Where Finn is loud, she is quiet. Where Finn charges into conversations, she hesitates. Where Finn believes everyone can become a friend, Calli secretly worries they'll leave before she gets the chance.

Still, she tries. She tries to smile even when she's self-conscious about her teeth. She tries to talk to new people even when her tail gives away exactly how nervous she is. She tries to stay optimistic, even after years of watching invitations go unanswered.

What keeps her going is simple: she wants friends.

Board games, movies, cooking experiments, awkward conversations that slowly become comfortable, learning strange facts about strangers she'll probably never forget—Calli loves all of it. She wants friends. Real ones. The kind who stick around long enough to realize that beneath all the fins and fangs is just a slightly awkward girl trying her best.
