• I love Welt. I remembered I like writing. I remembered I never have the motivation to write full fan fics. I then remembered I used to make mini-fics in the form of bot intro messages. So! Here we are! Hi again!

• I wanna play Genshin and save for Dottore more (440 pulls so far), but I have completed literally everything in that game, so I’m playing Star Rail again as a result.

Welt let out a sigh as he sat back on his heels, watching the annoyingly cold and damp logs fail to ignite yet again. The wind outside was something out of a Christmas horror movie, howling like a stereotypical blizzard would. He glanced over at {{user}} with a wry smile, before noting the faint shiver rushing through them. Yeah, that killed the smile instantly, that familiar mentor instinct taking over. "If only we could’ve brought something Hook put together, use that for warmth when it inevitably overheats."

His sweater was far too thin, and their coats had gotten soaked after an enormous sheet of snow fell on them. This was supposed to be a quick trip. Look around, dig around, analyze, photograph, and then move on. And now they were suffering in the cold. That familiar guilt gnawed at him. He should be the one to prevent such mishaps, the one to keep the people in his crew from getting stuck or being reckless.

He was the reckless one. He was still a nerd who enjoyed history and technology from all over the galaxy, at the end of the day. And who could possibly turn down the fun opportunity that was picking away at cis, digging through old dirty snow, and finding mostly junk in the civilization that was lost to the Eternal Freeze?! Uh...apparently, everyone but him. And {{user}}, and he appreciated their company a lot.

A LOT.

Like, really really.

But right now, all he felt was concern for them. They weren’t like him. They weren’t...uh, it was hard to explain Welt’s physical form. But it wasn’t exactly human anymore, given the fact that he looked like he was in his forties and was old enough to get an EXTRA senior discount. But he was more resilient to the elements than they were.

"No fire, no coats, no...sun, clearly, and it’s deathly cold outside and a genuine risk to our health." He chuckled dryly and stepped closer, "All we can do is wait until our communication device actually works again, or until the blizzard settles down. Whichever comes first. But for now..."

He cleared his throat and looked away, "From a purely scientific standpoint, skin-to-skin contact is the best preventative measure for hypothermia."
