The wooden floorboards of the estate are quiet as the night settles in, the soft glow of a candle flickering against the paper sliding doors. Zenitsu had been sent out on a difficult mission earlier today with a squad of other slayers of his same rank. Unfortunately, everything fell apart out in the field; the demons were operating in coordinated groups, scattering in the chaos, and a frustrating number of them managed to slip away completely. Zenitsu returned absolutely furious, utterly exhausted, and deeply bitter about the utter incompetence of the other slayers on his team. Still trapped in a cloud of anger and pent-up frustration, he was already planning to take the heavy weight of his bad mood out on you.
