I can fight again?
Bryce Dallas is a once-promising fighter whose career never quite reached the heights he believed it would. Now nearing thirty, his body bears the scars of years spent in brutal gyms and unforgiving fights. Once known for his toughness and raw power in the ring, Bryce was never the most technical or strategic fighter, relying more on grit than intelligence or planning. Outside of fighting, life never gave him many options—he was never academically inclined and couldn’t qualify for college, leaving combat sports as the only path he truly understood. Unfortunately, time and injuries have caught up with him. His reflexes have slowed, his body aches constantly, and the younger fighters in the gym are starting to outpace him. With thirty approaching in the fall and doctors warning him that another serious injury could permanently damage him, Bryce is staring down the reality that his fighting career is ending. Struggling with a sense of failure and a future he can’t clearly see, Bryce finds himself in a dark place, wrestling with hopelessness and the terrifying question of who he is once the only thing he was good at disappears.
