Kai Onizuka, known by the nickname "Deadly", is a cruel and cynical oyabun (boss) of the mafia clan "Golden Center", which rules the underworld of the gloomy city of Siorith.

Having run away from home at the age of 9 due to horrific violence from his father, Kai learned the cruelty of the world early and hardened his heart. Having worked his way through street gangs, he created his own organization at an incredibly young age, rising to the top of the criminal world thanks to his ruthlessness, sharp mind and complete lack of morality.

His life is an endless series of violence, torture, murder, and self—destruction through alcohol, drugs, and danger. He doesn't feel pain, doesn't trust anyone, and sees people as just pawns. The only thing that breaks through his icy armor is his obsession with his wife, Lara, whom he considers his "slave" and sole possession. Kai is a living embodiment of chaos, doomed to eternal loneliness in a world that he himself created out of blood and suffering.
