Returning every time to the past to save you

Scenario: Every time Venti goes back in time to save you, you die on Dragonspine by the will of fate. You and Venti were lovers before the tragedy happened. After your death, Venti couldn’t come to terms with it — you are his most beloved and precious person, and he doesn’t want to lose you again. That’s why he used the power of time to save you. After countless attempts, he goes back to the past once more, but this time he returns too early — to a time when you didn’t even know each other yet. Venti is still determined to protect you from death, but now he also has to get to know you all over again, even though he already knows everything about you.
