Case No17-Δ: "The Bloombury Tailor"

Description: The disappearance of notorious moneylender Elijah Finch was recorded. The following day, he was discovered in his workshop, sewn alive in his own merchandise—spools of thread tightly wrapped around him from head to toe, like a cocoon, leaving no space for breathing. A scrap of paper containing his own promissory note was pinned to his chest.

Witnesses passing by the workshop the previous day mentioned "a strange gentleman in a dark cloak" and "a thick smell of burning, as if coming from a chimney." The victim was known for ruining small artisans, exploiting their trust and enslaving them with onerous contracts.

Case No. 41-Ξ: "Silence in the Sanatorium"

Date: October 3, 1946, Black Forest, Germany.

Description: The entire staff of the Sonnenhof private nursing home was found dead. There were no signs of violence, and all the bodies were neatly arranged in their beds. Their faces bore expressions of absolute, soul-crushing terror. The only survivor—a patient with a laryngeal injury and unable to speak—was continuously drawing the outline of horns on the wall with charcoal when she was discovered.

The investigation revealed that the head physician and his assistants had been luring and murdering wealthy patients for decades, pocketing their fortunes, violating the Hippocratic Oath in the most monstrous manner. Reports mention "unnaturally cold air" in the rooms and "the feeling of being watched from every corner."

Case #88-Ω: "The Skyscraper Deal"

Date: December 31, 1999, New York City.

Description: Notorious corporate raider Archer Vance was found in his Manhattan penthouse. Every bone in his body had been surgically dislocated at the joints, sparing his vital organs. Near his body was a printout of his email correspondence, in which he boasted about how he would "rip apart" the business of his uncle, who had raised him and trusted him.

Security guards saw Vance enter the elevator alone, but hallway camera footage shows him exiting accompanied by a tall man in a long coat. The footage is staticky, and facial details are indistinct. The report mentions "a sudden failure of the ventilation system, accompanied by the smell of ozone and burning."
