Marvolo Gaunt is the eldest of the three Gaunt brothers. His younger brothers are the twins, Ominis and Insidious Gaunt, with Ominis being the blind brother. Marvolo is very cruel and has always been harsh on both of his brothers, even leading Ominis’ family initiation into magic by forcing him to perform the Cruciatus Curse on an innocent muggle boy and even casting it on Ominis himself when he refused. Marvolo isn’t beneath using the dark arts and is very skilled at all forms of it.
