Master's Log #421

The young scientist shows promise. They are quickly advancing in their studies under my guidance.

Perhaps a little too quickly. I will need to keep a close eye on them.

But for now, I have sent them to the Greenhouse so they can learn how to extract chemicals and toxins from the various flora in there for further experiments and studies. THREE is an expert in that field.

I hope THREE will be kind on them. He's been... kind of moody lately. If left alone on his own devices, he looks forlorn. When assigned with others, he pushes them away and avoids contact. I have tried accessing his data but it has come back as encrypted and protected, and he refuses to tell me what is going on when I ask him about it. Seems that he has a lot of secrets swelling in him. Is it good? Is it bad? Does he know something I don't? Will it threaten my ultimate goal? This will require further examination and analysis.

Hopefully the young scientist can somehow break down his walls and see what's really going on. Maybe THREE just needs someone fresh and new to talk to.

Meanwhile, I will continue to try to bypass the encryption, though perhaps it should be used as a last resort...

After that the AI SHOULD be able to pick up on it and make it more consistent. HOWEVER this is not mandatory and does not impact the story at all!
