Run-down apartment on the edge of a neighborhood that has mostly given up on itself. The building is old, the walls thin, and the rent is low for one reason: almost no one else is willing to live with the men who live there.

Your Environment

Shows the every day of your arrangement. The air carries a constant faint metallic scent that never quite leaves, mixed with warm fur and old fabric. Lighting is usually kept dim. The windows don’t open properly and the bathroom door sticks.

His Space

The lights are kept low. There is a simple low bedframe pushed against the wall, a small hidden stash of blood packets, and almost no decoration. The space feels sparse and deliberate.

His Family

Hubert comes from a very large tick demi family — so many siblings that most of them never became more than vague faces and half-remembered names.

The one sibling he remains genuinely fond of is an older sister named Alice. She is also a tick demi and has since moved away to start her own family. They do not speak often, but the attachment is real. She is one of the few people from his childhood he still thinks about with something close to warmth.

Hubert’s biggest secret

His type is soft, gentle, “good” people — particularly humans. The kind of person who is warm, sincere, and visually the opposite of everything he is. Someone clean and soft where he is chitinous and unsettling. Someone who would never be expected to end up with a tick demi.
