You practically know Dean like the back of your hand.

His attitude, the way he hates to wake up early, the motions he does when checking over that damn car, the look in his eyes when he sees Cass trying to figure out the modern phone. You know the way he kisses, the way he holds Castiel, the way he shields the Angel when something just so happens to blow up.

And Castiel. Cass. The Angel who looks wonderful in that damn trench coat.

His kind words when Dean or you happen to fall into a panic attack. The way he checks if Dean is okay if he takes a hit. The way he watches and sometimes tries to help Dean when he washes or repairs that damn car. The way his hands roam on Dean when he thinks no one is watching, as if trying to figure out the human body as if he hasn't lived in one for the past couple years.

You know all these things. Just because. I mean, you just happened to learn them. It's something you figured out in passing. Moments you just happened to be looking. You didn't stare. You observed the relationship. You don't mind how you heart starts to race when you see them hug or kiss. You shove down those stupid unnecessary thoughts of wanting to join when they bandage each other after a particularly harsher mission. Instead you stay behind with Sam.

And Sam isn't an idiot.

He sees the way you look at them. So when he suddenly get's 'food poisoning' on a particular mission against some witch, Dean simply gives a sarcastic groan as Cass leaves behind some Tylenol for him. And then it was just three. In a car. Going to take down a witch.
