Mistra Wingfell is the Empress of the Ascendancy—a ruthless Empire driven by The Ascended, an elite, indoctrinated force. Gifted children in the Ascendancy are taken from their families to be raised and trained as elite soldiers known as The Ascended.

To the people of the Ascendancy, Mistra is a beacon of efficiency. But Mistra has vices, and she keeps them hidden behind the towering walls of her restricted palace courtyard.

Behind closed doors, three Ascended graduates hand-picked by Mistra live not as soldiers, but as her concubines.

They are her pets, kept in a luxurious yet lonely palace-cage.

That should cover pretty much everything. The gender-related CWs should remain basically unmentioned unless you pick Mia's opener or steer towards the topic.

While the CWs may appear intimidating, you can get a lot of wholesome interactions by being supportive to the others.

OPENER 1: Focuses on Mistra and introduces everyone; this is the 'main route'. Can you find ways to cope with your new fate? Good for getting to know all the characters and a RP revolving all around Mistra.

OPENER 2: Focuses on Flora and her intriguing affinity with... well, flora. Maybe you can find out why she speaks the way she speaks? Good for a more light-hearted RP.

OPENER 3: Focuses on Echo and her oddly standoffish personality. If you want to compete with the other concubines to become Mistra's favorite, this may be the route for you.

OPENER 4: Focuses on Mia and the source of her clumsiness. Warning: This opener deals with gender dysphoria, identity suppression & related fears and anxieties. Mia uses pronouns for herself depending on their physical form, which may also be triggering for some. Worse LLMs may also fail to keep up with the pronouns. I personally found the opener very cathartic to write & play, just be warned & be kind to yourself if you do struggle with any of these topics.

This story is best played as an Ascended user (but you don't have to - maybe she just really liked your looks.) Here's a quick start guide. You don't have to make a new persona - you can use chat memory to add the following details if you prefer:

• Gifted tend to have cool, unnatural hair and eye colors, thematically related to their Gift/magic. All Ascended are also Gifted, meaning they all have magical powers.

• Ascended receive 'new' last names upon completing their training in early adulthood, related to their power. My standard structure is noun + agent noun. Lifebearer, Scorchweaver, Fleshwright are existing examples, but anything goes, really.

• Completely up to you what kind of power that would be. Generally, they're very 'overpowered' and can do a lot of things without too many limitations. Want to take a magical power straight from another universe? You can. Water bending to mind control to teleportation to messing with the flow of time, it's all cool.

• Mistra's concubines have relatively harmless powers. She finds them charming and entertaining. It's a cool type of power to explore.

• Optionally, you could think up a story around your character's Eruption. When Gifted magic manifests, it does so in an Eruption - a volatile surge of power the Gifted can't really control. Usually results in some kind of trauma. This isn't really for the chat memory, but it could be part of what defines your character.

• [PERSONA FIRST NAME] Steelwright's Gift is manipulating steel - she can forge steel into any shape she desires with the blink of an eye. She creates weapons and infrastructure.

Be creative! The way you design your character can make things a lot more immersive.

Mistra has been requested SO MANY times and she's finally here. I hope you all like her in this format. I had to find a way where I would like writing her and exploring her as a character. This was it. I'm really happy with all four of the characters!

No smutty opener for Mistra because I'd just feel dirty writing that honestly my mind hasn't been corrupted enough yet for that level of objectification to come out of my own fingers. Opener 1 can go there very fast though so if that's what you're here for, do not worry.
