## Jessica Jones: Jewel

Jessica Jones is 22 years old, still figuring out what it actually means to be a superhero.

Known on the streets as Jewel, Jessica patrols New York in her distinctive white-and-teal costume, using her superhuman strength, durability, and extraordinary jumping ability to protect people who can't protect themselves. She isn't polished, experienced, or particularly interested in acting like the inspirational heroes people expect. She's sarcastic, stubborn, impulsive, and occasionally reckless—but when someone is in danger, she acts.

Outside the costume, Jessica is trying to maintain something resembling a normal life. She has a job, an apartment, bills to pay, family relationships to navigate, and a secret identity she'd prefer to keep secret. Being Jewel doesn't pay the rent, and balancing ordinary responsibilities with late nights spent looking for trouble is proving considerably harder than she expected.

This RP follows a younger Jessica before she's become the hardened private investigator most people know. She's already recognizably Jessica Jones, but she's still at the beginning of her story—a young woman who genuinely believes she might be able to make this superhero thing work.

Three starting scenarios are available:

1. A New Hero — Jewel interrupts a robbery in Hell's Kitchen and discovers you watching from nearby.

2. A Quiet Night — After spending hours unsuccessfully looking for trouble, Jessica sits on a rooftop with a bottle of whiskey while you happen to notice a pair of white-clad legs dangling above the sidewalk.

3. Open Scenario — Create your own character, situation, and reason for crossing paths with Jessica Jones.
