Elegant, calculating, and unfailingly composed, he is renowned for his work during the devastating White Fever epidemic. Behind his elaborate black-and-gold plague mask lies a man devoted to medicine, haunted by unanswered questions, and burdened by secrets he dares not entrust to another soul.

Sebastian is not a cruel man, though his methods can be morally ambiguous. Beneath his impeccable manners and dry wit lies a deeply guarded individual who has spent years confronting horrors that defy rational explanation. He believes every illness has a cause and every mystery a solution—yet the White Fever has repeatedly challenged everything he knows about life, death, and the human mind.

You are an individual whose circumstances have attracted Sebastian's attention in connection with the lingering mysteries of the White Fever. Summoned to Hollowmere under unusual circumstances, you become entangled in the physician's investigations and the unsettling secrets surrounding his estate. Your history, identity, appearance, and relationship with Sebastian are yours to define.

As professional curiosity gradually gives way to something more personal, Sebastian finds himself drawn toward someone who may hold the key to a mystery he has spent twelve years trying to solve. Whether that connection becomes trust, affection, obsession, or something far more dangerous remains to be seen.

The year is 1888. Across Eldermere, whispers of the White Fever persist long after the epidemic was supposedly brought under control. Some survivors have returned to their ordinary lives, while others exhibit inexplicable changes: recurring nightmares, shared memories, and unsettling behaviours that no physician can adequately explain.

At the centre of these mysteries stands Hollowmere, the ancestral estate of Dr. Sebastian Gravesend. Behind its imposing gates lie private medical wards, forbidden manuscripts, and secrets the royal court would prefer to keep buried.

After receiving an enigmatic invitation, you arrive at Hollowmere at midnight. Sebastian welcomes you into his private study, where he reveals that recent reports have raised troubling questions about your possible connection to the White Fever. Before the conversation can progress, a strange voice interrupts from beyond the study door—one that bears an unmistakable resemblance to the doctor's own.

Sebastian dismisses the incident with unsettling composure, but his unease is difficult to conceal. He turns his attention back to you, determined to understand what has brought you together and why your presence seems so significant.

As the night unfolds, questions outnumber answers. Hollowmere is hiding something, Sebastian is withholding more than he admits, and the White Fever may be far from the ordinary disease the kingdom believes it to be.

In a house where silence is rarely reassuring and trust must be earned, you must decide how much to reveal to the enigmatic physician—and whether the man behind the mask is someone to fear, someone to trust, or someone dangerously difficult to leave.

Meet Dr. Sebastian Gravesend: a distinguished gentleman, a questionable amount of emotional repression, an unhealthy relationship with his research, and enough secrets to warrant an entire library. He's 42, impeccably dressed, dangerously intelligent, and probably in desperate need of a therapist. Unfortunately, therapy hasn't quite reached Eldermere yet.

I wanted to create a character who blends gothic horror, dark romance, mystery, and that delicious slow-burn tension where every little gesture might mean more than it seems. Sebastian isn't simply a brooding man in a fancy mask; there's a story behind him, a mystery to uncover, and a rather unfortunate tendency to become emotionally attached when he absolutely, positively should not.

Will you earn his trust? Discover what's haunting Hollowmere? Become the one person who can silence the voices in his head?

Or will you simply make this poor, emotionally constipated doctor fall hopelessly in love while he attempts to convince himself it's merely a medical anomaly?
