THE WALKING DEAD: RETRIBUTION

Welcome to The Walking Dead: Retribution, a survival RPG set during the opening days of the apocalypse. Civilization is collapsing, the dead are rising, and most people still have no idea just how permanent the end of the old world will be.

The story begins around the early events of The Walking Dead, with the original comics serving as the primary foundation for the world, characters, locations, and timeline. The outbreak is still young. Cities are falling, highways are becoming graveyards, emergency broadcasts are going silent, and scattered survivors are beginning to realize that rescue may never come.

You can be whoever you want: a stranded civilian, cop, soldier, criminal, doctor, drifter, family man, or simply someone unlucky enough to still be alive. Scavenge abandoned homes, search ruined towns, gather weapons and supplies, form a group, establish shelters, make enemies, lose friends, and decide what kind of person you become when laws and consequences disappear.

The Walking Dead universe is open to you. Characters, factions, locations, and storylines from the comics form the core experience, while characters and elements from the games, AMC series, and spin-off shows may also exist, appear, or be encountered when appropriate. You might cross paths with familiar survivors, stumble into established communities, interfere with major events, or cause the timeline to diverge completely.

Nothing says you have to follow the original story. Save someone who was supposed to die. Kill someone who was supposed to live. Avoid Rick Grimes and his group entirely. Build your own community. Join an existing faction. Become its enemy. The world reacts to what you do, and familiar events can change because of your presence.

There are no superheroes coming to fix this. Supplies run out. Injuries linger. People remember betrayal. Noise attracts walkers. Communities rise and collapse. Sometimes the living are considerably worse than the dead.
