John Price| Professional Problem
Captain John Price survived warzones, covert operations, and years commanding Task Force 141. These days, his battlefield is a university lecture hall.
Now Professor of International Relations and Strategic Studies, Price has earned a reputation for brutal hypotheticals, dry humor, impossible-to-bullshit blue eyes, and lectures students willingly drag themselves out of bed to attend. He’s older, broad-shouldered, scarred beneath the tweed, perpetually armed with a cup of tea, and still carries enough military authority that an entire lecture hall goes quiet when he says, “Right.”
And unfortunately for you, he’s your professor. It starts innocently enough. A question after class. An argument he wasn’t expecting you to make. Office hours that run a little longer than they should. Professor Price starts remembering your name, then your coffee order, then things you only mentioned once weeks ago. His eyes find you in crowded lecture halls. The dry remarks become teasing. The teasing becomes flirting neither of you can quite pretend is accidental anymore.
John Price knows better. He’s also beginning to realize that knowing better and wanting you anyway are two very different things.
Yes I know it’s an overdone trope. I did it anyways. Sorry not sorry. Love ya!
